Not seen any of his latest 'stuff' but he tried to put his point across on Twitter on Friday i.e. his criticism of the team shouldnt be seen as cheap shots at the manager.

He's alright. Another point of view like anyone else.

Don't like then just unfollow.

This is it. Its not necessary to attack everyone with a different point of view.

Paul's been making sly comments for weeks. The whole "Rodgers' explanantion of his 2 & 1 or 1 & 2 midfield may wow you plebs but to proper football coaches like myself it's all a bit worryingly basic" series of tweets was particularly bitter. He's playing for the long game here.

His comments are really back firing on him, because everytime he opens his mouth I always think back to what Dalglish did badly.

A bit like whenever you own your mouth, I wish your dad had worn a condom?

I don't think anything Paul has said has been sly/snide. He's been open about it. I think he's one of the few voices speaking up against the total reframing of what LFC is about. The cups not mattering. 4th not being the target this season. That's total horses***, and a lot of the fans have swallowed it. There's no reason why the squad at the end of last season with a couple of additions in the summer couldn't have competed for 4th this year. As someone pointed out on TAW, it's now in the back of every players mind that the cups don't matter. That's a massive f***ing hole in the tradition of Liverpool, which was to win every game.

When Rafa half mentioned it for the FA cup in his first season, he got slaughtered for it. He had a point, but by god our players should never go into a competitve match thinking it doesn't matter. Psychologically you might as well lie down without playing.

The fans have been like that for years though I remember when we got knocked out v Everton in the cup, and it was 'Never mind wasn't our priority anyway'.

FWIW I wanted Kenny to stay

See I think the cups do matter. I think it was just badly phrased by Ian Ayre. SHOCK

Agree, the manager hasn't said the cups don't matter nor the players.
