No chance of a pen, we got gifted a win there last season, that simply wont be allowed to be repeated and especially not with the way we are reffed this season.

Hopefully we can smash these c**** but I fear we wont be allowed to.

i would play assaidi on the left and tell him to run at hibbert all day, hibbert is s*** and we can get plenty of joy down the left against these

as usual moyes will send them out with instructions to kick lumps out out of us and we need to fight fire with fire and then outplay them with our superior players

i fancy us for a two nil win here

Got a very odd feeling he might not start Luis. Exactly the sort of occasion when he might totally lose it, and the bitters will be trying to wind him up from the off. I know he's the only proven/brilliant striker we've got, but he's looked a bit off lately, and Rogers played him for 90 this evening, which is odd, given how hard he works every match.

Throw Yesil in at the deep end? :o or maybe start Morgan? Derby effect for local lads and all that? No chance?

behave yourself.

joe allen's going to be key man here. while all about are losing their heads he's going to need to keep the ball and take the sting out of the game.

No you don't.

I think it's their turn to win one. Especially after last season and they look better at football than we do.

Lawro says...

Everton fans can look at their team at the moment and say 'I wouldn't take many Liverpool players in our side', which is always an interesting thing to do when you look at these games. Liverpool fans would take more Everton players at the moment

Now I know its Lawro, but seriously which Everton players would we take???

Jelavic on the basis he does score goals and we need a forward, but who else??

Seriously now

Everton v Liverpool (13:30 BST)

This must be the first time in a very long time where Everton really do fancy themselves against Liverpool.

Everton fans can look at their team at the moment and say 'I wouldn't take many Liverpool players in our side', which is always an interesting thing to do when you look at these games. Liverpool fans would take more Everton players at the moment.

There are some positives for Reds fans though, mainly thanks to Raheem Sterling. The kid has been fantastic.

I thought that by now he might have plateaued a bit but he impresses me more every week. Andre Wisdom, the right-back who will probably end up as a centre-back, is another young player you don't want to hold back now because he has taken to the Premier League so well.

One problem for Liverpool with chucking in all these promising youngsters is that they have done well so far, but doing so consistently over the course of the season is completely different.

Also, come Sunday, I can imagine there will be quite a few Liverpool players in their first Merseyside derby match.

You don't know how they will deal with it. Sometimes with these games, a player can go in not knowing anything about what they will face and they can breeze through it. Other times, and I saw it happen when I was a player, they think 'oh my god it's the derby' and they freeze.

You have to be ready because Merseyside derbies can be absolute madness. They don't often resemble a game of football because of the hype beforehand and the pace the game is played at.

This one will be no different. Everton have more quality but Liverpool are still difficult to beat, which is why I am thinking this will end up in a draw.

Prediction: 1-1

probably be gibson wouldn't it? with osman pushed on a bit?

Gibson's touch and go at best. BIWs don't think he'll be back.

I wouldn't start Suso. I'd start Gerrard there. If he doesn't want to do that I'd start Aissaidi. I'd look to bring Suso on at the apex of the midfield three with fifteen to go if it is level.

I'd start Assaidi if he's not too knackered.

deserves a start a head of Suso

Suso's best games have been off the bench so far, so he'll be a good option in the second half
