Gerrad and Johnson should be ok to play regardless of the re-scheduling but maybe it might knock them sideways a bit having to prep for two games in midweek. So maybe there is a temptation to put them on the bench. Might see something like

Pepe (if fit)

Wisdom Carra Skrtel Agger

Allen

Henderson Sahin

Sterling Suarez Suso

Play Johnson defo

I would play Downing left back for this game if him and the manager have made up

Robinson if not

Front six picks itself for me as long as everyone is alright

Throw Robinson in at left back not our best centre half.

We used to do Champions League games on a Wednesday so don't see a problem.

All they need to do to prep for Saturday is etch a sketch their brains of anything the owl said to them.

Agree though I'd be tempted to start Gerrard from the bench if there are any doubts at all. The one thing we don't need is him getting a knock.

Think the team picks itself at the moment.

Wisdom hasn't done himself an harm, although he does get forward as much as Kelly did so I guess the only debate to be had would be to put Robinson left back with Johnson back at right back.

I'd expect Assaidi to be pushing Suso for a starting spot soon too.

I agree we are getting a bit obsessed with it.

Its nice to have a league cup team, but players can cope

Big game, the sort we f***ed up last season. Get the feeling a tiny minority of ours would love it if Reading won this aswell.

I can only think of Paul Dalglish

I really don't get this feeling with anyone , It's not like it was with Hodgson

Luis will get taken out by either Mariappa or Morrison, who will both be riding around on horse back with Morrison having a lance and Mariappa, will be wielding a battle axe, and the ref will send Luis off for bleeding profusely on the pitch.

I wouldn't go as far as to say they want us to lose, but there are a fair few on here who wouldn't be as disappointed as others if we did.

I don't know why, its not like Kenny is going to come back. If Rodgers was sacked it'd probably be Martinez that comes in.

Whats all this sacking nonsense??

Italian clubs sack their manager every six weeks and they still manage to find new ones

Except that he wont and I'm all a bit confused.

what do you mean he won't?'

You think that he won't get sacked whatever position we finish at this season?

I call it the Spinning 10 - it's literally a revoultionary formation
