Died this morning of bowel cancer, saw he wasnt on the Sunday Supplement this year but sad news

Shame, despite not agreeing with much he said, he was very consistent in his views about the national team coming first. Given his age, and what went on this summer, I've got a lot more sympathy with how that view could be formed

A sports reporter that had nothing to do with the headline or the cover up.

 

Bit silly that post.

 

Can't say I read much of his stuff until he moved from the S*n, always came across as balanced and passionate about the game.

He had a show on TV in Sweden for years, presenting the issues of the week in English football from a park bench on a village green, picadilly circus, the cliffs of Dover or some other oddly incongruous place. Made more incongruous by his hair.

 

A young man really, a shame.
