Maldini Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Suso hinting on twitter that he's in the squad for this
Billy Talbot Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Who needs a rest? Probably Gerrard. Though he subbed himself for the last 10. Good lad.
Gunga Din Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 i reckon he might go 3 at the back here. Downing and Johnson the wide men.
badtodabone Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Be nice to win. win??? oh yeah i remember those .
JonShar Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Suso hinting on twitter that he's in the squad for this What did he say?
Swipe Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Could do with a kinder fixture to get us started.
Stevie H Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 sunderland 1 - 0 liverpool. agboola, 87'.
Ant Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Sunderland 1 -0 Liverpool Beachball 90' After Suarez misses an open goal obviously.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 They'll have Andy Johnson and James McLean running the wing with Segusseon (sp) and Fletcher upfront (or even Saha), it will be a tough game. Those players are primed for breaking quickly and being direct. Not sure we will go 3 at the back as Wayne alluded to. I think Rodgers is going to try and stamp his philosophy on the midfield and defence right from the start as they are the basis of a possession based game. Sahin will be the interesting choice, if he's not up to a shift of work, then perhaps Shelvey would be a better option with Sahin off the bench later in the game because there will be plenty of industry from O'Neills team. I want to say, keep them in their box for 60mins and introduce quality thereafter but 'quality' is limited. I'd go with: Reina Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique Gerrard Allen Henderson Downing Borini Shelvey* Introduce Sahin, Suarez* and Sterling later in the game *Suarez will be travelling back from South America and is our only recognised striker, it may be determined that he starts this one on the bench.
Stevie H Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 'Segusseon'? good gods man that's not even near.
growler Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I'd go sterling borini Suarez as a front 3, with Gerrard in front of sahin and Henderson.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 'Segusseon'? good gods man that's not even near. It has 3 's', a 'g' and a few vowels - that'll do for me.
richwilks Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I'd go sterling borini Suarez as a front 3, with Gerrard in front of sahin and Henderson. No Allen? He's been our most consistent player so far.
Hassony Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 1-0 Macho '93 sunderland 1 - 0 liverpool. agboola, 87'. Sunderland 1 -0 Liverpool Beachball 90' This has stopped being funny a long, long time ago
Epic Swindle Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 (edited) Hate this fixture. We need something though. Edited September 12, 2012 by Epic Swindle
richwilks Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 It's the sort of game we'll either win or lose unless we can get a draw.
Epic Swindle Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 It's the sort of game we'll either win or lose unless we can get a draw. Covered all the bases there.
