techmob Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Hi guys Managed to get hold of 2 tickets to man city game on Sunday. I don't get to go to many games so not up to speed on good places to park. Can anyone advise free parking, reasonable safe location or cheap alternative. Advice please Thanks
Random Bird Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 The car park at the end of Cherry Lane ( the other side of Anfield Cemetry). Staffed and secure, £5.

Redray Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 The Paradise Island Bingo Club on Carisbrooke road. £6 all day and they have CCTV. 10 minute walk or so through Stanley Park.
richwilks Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Usually do Goodison, £10 and I've always got out in decent time after.
techmob Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 cheers all. least i have a few options. should i be looking to get there at least an hour early before kick to be on the safe side?
charlie clown Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I always park in the residential side streets parallel with/around St.Domingo's Grove. On quite a few of those streets it's only permit only parking down one side so if you get in an hour or so before there's usually a few options. The beauty of it is that most people assume it's residents only all through and give it a swerve alogether. 5 minutes walk to the ground at most.
Bigal Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I park by the old Cabbage pub, down the road, 5 minute walk, and never much traffic
Swan Red Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I park by the old Cabbage pub, down the road, 5 minute walk, and never much traffic I had a car nicked from there
Buzz Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I let Kahnee park up somewhere, get out and then walk to the ground via a pub, usually about 30/45mins.
Cam Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Anyone got a post code for that! L4 6UG says Google. Somebody off here told me about it last season and I've used it ever since, just the job.

techmob Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Hey I'm going to the match tomorrow. Going to try and park at paradise island. How long before kick off should I arrive to secure a space? I have seen this site http://www.parkatmyhouse.com/uk/driveways/liverpool/s/aintree-grand-national-secure-parking-cctv-covered/ but not sure what car we are going in plus we don't mind getting there early to soak up the atmosphere of the day ahead. Should we arrive 2 hours before or would 1 hour be ok? Thanks

Sion Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 I park for free down Bankhall Lane which is only a little bit further, get the soccerbus for £1.60 return if its bad weather or do the 10-15 minute walk.
Billy Talbot Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I tend do drive as close as I can and then look for for somewhere to park. Either give the kids a quid or tell them they can have two when you come back.
Clay Davis Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I park for free down Bankhall Lane which is only a little bit further, get the soccerbus for £1.60 return if its bad weather or do the 10-15 minute walk.Exactly what I do.
ifanew Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Hi guys, going to the game on Sunday, haven't been in a couple of seasons. I used to park at my auntie's house on Queen's drive but sadly she's no longer with us and was wondering if the parking at the end of Cherry Lane was still going as it's not too far from where she lived and I can find my way there without too much bother. Also I'm using the season ticket of a mate of a mate; I've never used one before and was wondering how it works, I don't want to turn up at the turnstile and look like to much of a wool. Do you swipe it, scan it, show it... Forgive my ignorance. Cheers
