The Oatmeal is pushing a charitable fundraising campaign to turn Nikola Tesla's Shoreham, New York laboratory into a museum after the property came up for sale. Apparently, the other bidder for the site wants to turn it into a retail outlet. Tesla got kind of shat on by history already, so I'm hoping these guys can pull this off.
