Nerik Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 Deserves a thread of its' own. Amazing achievement. Here are the first 149 and his 19 for England. Here is no. 150 http://www.firstwebtv.com/2012/08/blog-post.html
CarraLegend Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 We're in for a good season if he stays that far forward again which looks to be the plan given we'll have Allen/Lucas and Rodgers spoke of him in a front four. The best player I've ever seen in this country.

I think Stevie is now up to 149.

Swipe Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Can't be too many players with a better collection of goals than that.
5InIstanbul Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 What a superb collection. One think strikes me though. As he has got older, his goals, by and large, have become less Hollywood amd more clinical. Talk about natural finishers, he is one. Stick him upfront Brendan, let the younger lads do the donkey work and he'll bang in 25 a season for you.
_00_deathscar Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 f*** me almost every single goal is absolutely amazing. Even the 'simpler' ones, where he just bursts pasts players in the box as if they aren't there and then finishes it off with a finish as cool as you like. The headers too...still think we wasted him on corners. Could have had 5-10 more a season just from staying in the box during corners!

Conor Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 He really is the player of his generation. Simple. 11:15: The making of Lucas. Him and Torres were the best strike partnership in the world at that time.
Leo No.8 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 (edited) Legend - proper legend. Incredible collection of goals. If he keeps taking pens reckon he'll get past Fowler. Also nice to see that someone called Hodgson had a very positive influence on the club... Edited August 10, 2012 by Leo No.8

Foxtrot Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 How many was that against the Bitters? Lost count.
floyd Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 He is my 14 year old son's icon, as Kenny was to me.My Dad's was Roger Hunt, and My Grandad's was Tom Finney. He is in very esteemed company, and sits comfortably with all of them

Yeah - when you compare the quality of his corners to his aerial ability, he should have been in the box much more often.

RedMersey Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 That really is remarkable. Enjoyed the compilation. Hope to see him score more goals this season than he did in the previous two.
