Would be nice, here’s hoping. Personally I don’t have any opinion on him yet because I’ve barely seen anything from him. Very curious to see what the summer brings.

in meantime, the best thing he can do, is his job. Quietly. Without the PR hype.

And in 2 years when we wonder how we are doing so great, and chasing our hattrick title, I’d love to hear about how he did it. Not what he’s going to do

You only have to look at Bournemouth and the quality of their side, he had a big part to play in that.

Yup... All we have to show for his efforts is Chiesa

No idea what stuff goes on in the background from him.... But got to take what he is doing at face value and it's not exactly giving me hope for the contracts or the inevitable replacement of those players

Definitely. I'm alright to give him some time. If we lose or draw a game this season I may change my mind however.

Hughes does appear to have a big reputation in the game, so I'm certainly willing to give him time to see how this plays out.  Sure he did good things at Bournemouth,  but expectation in situation is different here, with a club trying to win the league and CL, not just trying to stay in the Prem.

Given Hughes and Slot only just joined in the summer, I'm not surprised at all that we've essentially not done anything in the first two windows. I suspect Marmalade was already in the making before they arrived, and Chiesa  was just an opportunist punt maybe arisen from Hughes' Italian contacts.
