psl Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Its a cup final - it'll be tense, frustrating for large parts and we'll probably be behind at some stage. It'll almost certainly go to extra time. But we'll win. Most likely on pens.
Ed the Wool Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I've had a bad feeling about this. Watching the Fulham game didn't help.
marty Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 i wanted Chelsea before Spurs but after the run they have been on and the bit of luck that goes with them runs seeminly going all their way too iam not so confident anymore. Kenny has a great record against them but they have won 3 of the last cup finals and Di Matteo won the a cup a few year back so they will feel pretty confident
Boca Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Fuucckk off Chelsea FC You ain't got no history 5 European Cups 18 leagues That's what we call history...

muleskinner Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 The odd goal in 3 in 90mins, not sure which way yet.
D.Boon Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 These need a battering for what they did to that minutes silence.
Montse Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 These need a battering for what they did to that minutes silence. This That t'Other
McBain Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Losing last night might just have shaken the invincible mood within the camp. Had they won last night they'd have arrived on Saturday feeling as confident as can be but hopefully now that's been shaken They'll go 451 and we have to match it, keep the ball in midfield far better than we usually do and hope our magic two (Suarez/Gerrard) has a better game than Mata and whichever lone striker they choose
Rory Fitzgerald Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I think we will win 1-0. Goal will be scored in first 30mins and we'll hang on. Reina will have the game of his life and our goalpost will be severely dented by the full time whistle. Karma - it really will even things out.
Raj Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I've been firmly convinced for a while that we'll lose by a couple of goals Me too. But lets give it our best shot. We are capable of beating them
blago Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 We can win if we play this team: Reina Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique Henderson Spearing Kuyt Gerrard Bellamy Suarez Subs: Carroll, Downing, Coates, Doni, Shelvey, Aurelio
Ed the Wool Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 The thing is it depends on which team turns up. If it's our league form team, I think we'll lose by a couple. If it's our cup form team, I think we are in with a really good chance. I hope Downing is nowhere near a starting place, I'm done with him. Not bothered whether we go with Carroll or not up top, although he seems to be better as a starter. Maybe holding them for for 60 - 70 mins and then bringing on Bellamy, Max and Shelvey for the last 20 mins would be a good tactic. They must be leggy after the Barca games and playing last night. They aren't that young any more either. Only trouble with that is if you concede in the first half an hour, it blows the plan completely.

These pubs may or may not be segregated but this is entirely at the discretion of the licensee.
Swipe Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Depends on the team. I don't want Carra shoehorned into the team as he's too slow and clumsy and that's too dangerous against Drogba. Also think Carroll shout start on the bench for this one. I have a feeling it could be the Suarez final but I think he'd be far better equipped with Gerrard off him and Bellers and... someone else on the flanks. Midfield is a worry, though. No matter who we pick it's going to look lightweight compared to Chelsea's - even though, apart from Ramirez, I don't think there's is any great shakes. Just have to hope they step up.

schmuckdonald Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 As much as I agree, Swipe. Skrtel has been susceptible to being bossed in the air for a few goals this year, wouldn't fancy that against Drogba either. Will be interesting.
Des Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I've been firmly convinced for a while that we'll lose by a couple of goals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDIpkz6DOi8 I've had a bad feeling about this. I reckon this phrase should be a yellow card offence, with all due respect to Ed.

Will be interesting. He's bossed Drogba in the past too, though. All three of them have bossed and been bossed by Drogba, to be fair. It would be something to consider if it wasn't Carra though. I've no wish to start Carra-bashing, but he's having a poor season. Drogba tires centre halves out better than most strikers. That terrifies me when it comes to Carra.
