I think he's very perceptive, thinks deeply about the game and does bring forward original ideas.

On the downside I think he can be 'too much' on the radio sometimes, runs over people, doesn't give them space to put across their points

He's changed as a pundit. He used to be much more aggressive and opinionated I think.

Still think he's some cheek slagging off some players considering his behaviour when he was in the game.

I reckons wispy-lipped Manc may well feature heavily in this thread.

He does slag off players but mostly for what they do on the pitch, diving etc.

Probably the only 'decent' guy on Talksport.

He was still a s***house though.

I find it astounding that he's now got a position to lecture anyone in the game.

Same with people like Savage, Clarridge and Bright, but for different reasons.

Collymore is defo not as grating as he used to be though. On tv anyway. Don't listen to Talksport.

Speaking of channel 5 - Pat Nevin used to be more annoying too. He used to go down the Craig Burley route of grumpy Scotsman.

All you can say is that he probably wrote the book on c*nts tricks as a player

If you can ignore all that and just listen to what he had to say he is a good pundit

Aye probably fair enough. Certainly these days.

Real wasted talent. I thought he was going to be epic for us after those first few games.

Got that one wrong.

I remember comparing him pretty favourably to Ronaldo.

He was the closest thing we had to him

Incredible waste of a talent

We beat Leeds 5-0 when he got the ball from a throw in and just seemed to walk past their defence getting to the byline and putting it on Fowlers head and I thought it Ronaldo esque the way he could move with pace strength and with the ball under control. Like whatever is said about Gascoignes waste of talent Collymores has to be in the same league

Absolutely. Allied with a personality that allowed him to maximise his talent, he'd have been as good as Shearer. The two of them together for England would have been a superb prospect. Think he was mismanaged here as well.

Collymore is very good on Kick-off & Call Collymore. As an in-game analyst he's decent enough but doesn't have the tactical intelligence or experience to be riveting; he's not afraid to have a right go at players though (for diving etc) in a similar vein to Alan Green. And, other than the retweets, he's very good on Twitter.

However, he just doesn't work at all on the TV. He just looks frozen and creepy.

Dixon, Keown, Souness & Neville are the best pundits out there.

Strachan is good. No bulls***. He was great on sky. Actively went against the narrative Keys tried to set all the time. Probably why they don't use him anymore.

Football itself is becoming a guilty pleasure. The game is chock a block with utter tossers these days, from fans right through to owners.

My missus was staggered that the Chelsea scum were booing Ferdinand yesterday. I expected it, i actually would have been more surprised if he hadn't been boo'd.

That's the game we follow.
