Absolutely brilliant...totally made up. still remember school playground debates on whether winning the league or the cup was better... used to be the showpiece game of the season. Last match on a sunny day in May at Wembley. Oldest and biggest domestic cup competition in the world. The FA bleeding cup final...

 

in this era of finishing 4th and feeling satisfied we are in the FA cup final... You gotta love this club. Even in one of the supposedly leanest eras in our history the last decade has seen the Uefa cup, two FA cups, two league cups, the Champions league, 2 european super cups, and now the FA cup final again... what a club...

Just seeing the replay of the winning goal there, brief shot of Kelly Dalglish looking all flush and flustered, in a post orgasmic way. Topped off a great goal.

anyone still remember the scenes from 86 when lads were swinging in through windows about 50 ft up!! was that anyone on here??!!!

 

btw... for those complaining about how bad we were today in the first half...course we were, when we gubbed them 3-1 in 86 we didn't look too hot for about 55 minutes either, but ya know what.... I didn't care then at the end of 90 and I don't care now!!

 

on days like that day and this day it's who's wearing the smiles at the end that matters

 

We're in the cup final...sorry schmuck - don't mean to ruin it on ya (but it's not on the beeb anyway :hmm:;) )

Its a derby, it's a cup tie and we've struggled. We are out of form and people start kicking off in the match thread because we aren't running rings round them.

The match thread is off its head.

Its nerves mate, thats all. Having no beer and trying to watch the match at home whilst looking after the kids leaves only one way to get rid of frustration, online. But its over now and i had already booked FA cup day off from work. Cant wait

Point of order... 3 of those cups were in 2001 which was MORE than a decade ago ;):hmm: Yep, I'm old

 

Scary thing is, we DO think it's lean and the press has us down as "underachieving" and increasingly "not a big club". We were SOOOO spoiled, and forget, we still are compared to fans of 95% of clubs

I would let him go up alone.

 

The wonderful possibility of leaving the trophy on the podium with all the FA tossers and walking off the pitch is tempting though!
