amokop Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Aren't they just for the bar areas? Don't think they would need planning permission for internal stuff, its got to be for outside.
Epic Swindle Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Don't think they would need planning permission for internal stuff, its got to be for outside. Might just be another scoreboard for the poor souls at the top of the upper cent. The atmosphere is bad enough without those big screen monstrosities.
oakie bob Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Day trippers in Jester hats can wave at themselves on the screen......................in Fact all of Tage's tours groups
dorgie Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Howard Webb will be able to look at himself even more when these are in.
Farmer's Tan Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) they can highlight any mistakes a ref makes that denies us a penalty or a card for an opposition player while completely ignoring any mistakes in our favor. The ref will try to ignore it but he will catch it and try to make amends Edited March 30, 2012 by Farmer's tan
New York Red Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Is this NYRs plaza ? Nah. My plaza is far, far more elaborate. And a far bigger money milker. Andy will be happy with them as long as they are made of wood.
Chili Palmer Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Its just another revenue stream isn't it? advertising will pay for the screens pretty quickly I'd say, so doubt its an indicator that we're staying at Anfield.
Buzz Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Aren't then screens for showing the crowd yet another mistake the Ref has just made, slowly over several replays, agigtating tthe crowd even more and intimidating the Ref in to actually being fair and not biased against us like they usuaully are? Should be if they aren't...
Barnesy_10 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 They actually aren't allowed to replay any contentious decisions on the screens like offside decisions or wrongly disallowed goals
Buzz Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 They actually aren't allowed to replay any contentious decisions on the screens like offside decisions or wrongly disallowed goalsThey should be and I have seen it at other grounds too. And they do it at the rugby an'all.
Clay Davis Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 They actually aren't allowed to replay any contentious decisions on the screens like offside decisions or wrongly disallowed goalsThis was my understanding of it too.
psl Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 This was my understanding of it too. They're not meant to but they definitely do.
Superjay Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I wonder would there be any legs in screening away games and charging entry into anfield. Decent way to claw back some of lost revenue on clubs like Chelsea.
Rimbeux Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I wonder would there be any legs in screening away games and charging entry into anfield. Decent way to claw back some of lost revenue on clubs like Chelsea. i watched a Euro 2004 game at Glastonbury on the big screens and it was excellent. only way I could see it working was a temp right in front of the Kop
