I was thinking earlier about the old forums and their content. The gif thread - now gifs are everywhere and Flash has taken over but back then there were various websites and communities which hosted .wav files and jpegs that you had to go hunting for. Google wasn't the monster it is now and many ( stupid ) people used Yahoo or other search engines.

No Youtube, and i used to find music files by searching the net using the term " parent directory " which found files otherwise hidden.

There were loads of fortunecity websites but there was also one beginning with G. Globe something i think.

 

Having a quick look, ten years ago Robbscelebrityoops was a basic image gallery website. Now it looks like a s***ty dotcom ripoff.
