Germany have the tournament to play for, so should concentrate on it - they can go to Dachau back home, if they want to visit a death camp

England on the other hand, have nothing to play for so should use the opportunity to enrich themselves spiritually

people need to get a f***ing grip - this is another form of PCGM

Jewish organisation using the national team in self promotion of Zionist agenda?

It's garbage. If the national team don't go they'll be branded as racists now by this organisation. "But we have to remember the past, we'll be reminded" and the answer is yes YOU should and sort out the disgusting situation in Palestine.

they should go if they want to, but the politics doesnt belong in sport and if there's any kind of political pressure to go they should just forget about it

Jesus Christ - none of the players fathers - even - would have been alive at the time of WW2.

Maybe the Turkish team should go & visit the site of the Armenian 'genocide'? The Russians were hardly saints in the war either towards the Poles, Jews etc

Its a sports tournament whereby players 'heads' have to be right for 4 weeks. From friends that have visited Aschwitz, it leaves a massive effect on visitiors - so its impact on German 'footballers' that are doing it as a 'public' 'message' are bound to feel it more deeply.

Let them do it, but let them do it after the football tournament.

It's true though. It's a laughable request that would be laughed at but everyone's afraid too.

"As a German and a Jew I'd consider it a fatal sign if the English national team visited the former death camp, but the German team stayed away from this place," he said.

A fatal sign, just like when Hitler annexed Austria it'd surely be a precursor to war if they didn't go.

This is spot on.

Players at a tournament have no obligation to do anything.

This could backfire massively on England as well, just wait for the papped photos of Ashley Cole jokingly pushing Jack Wilshere into an oven

Wrong time and place to bring his air gun.

Some random loon speaks an opinion, gets put in paper then given purpose.

No need for the German team to even reply.

Unfortunately he's not a "random loon". This organisation carries a fair bit of clout in Germany.

Your second line, however, should be the standard response. What players in the German team such as

Kehdira, Özil, Podolski or Klose have to do with this is beyond me.

None of them have anything to do with it.

yes, only Aryans, and not those from the Polish corridoor, should be involved in assuaging the national guilt and proving that the Germans are not such a bad bunch after all

the second gen Germans and adopted Turks can sit off in the meantime - it's only right and proper
