Ultimate Champions League

So I was just sitting here at work thinking about football - as usual- and was wondering what it would be like if at the end of the season all the leagues in europe have an ultimate champions league.

 

Im talking about the Barclays Premier league Team of the season (made up of players from all over) in a tournament with some other european league equivilants. Can be managed over the tournament by the managers of the season for the respective leagues.

 

Sort of an ultimate league v league extravaganze - maybe only have it every 2 years or something (or 4) but I recon that would be fun to watch and it would take place after the season had finished obviosuly so you know who is in the team.

 

It would add a little more value to Barclays premier league team of the year spots. It would only need to run for like 2 weeks with limited teams - confederations cup format maybe?

Clubs would never let it happen.

 

Top players play too many games as it is and there is no way that the big clubs would let their most valuable assets off in the care of someone else.

clubs could be compensated for their players playing it it through tv revenue etc - pay per player who made the squad - might convince them to allow it

Who's going to go and watch this team though?

 

Imagine that the team is made up of mostly man utd and Liverpool players after this season, how on God's sweet earth are they going to control the crowd?

 

Do you think everyone's just going to go "Oh well chaps the season's over, lets bury our differences and get right behind the EPL All Stars!"?
