Problem with this kind of thing is that you can look at great goals in isolation (like

But then some goals (like the Gerrard FA cup goal) are great goals which are even better given the context.

 

These 2 aren't bad in terms of the 2nd category...

The zidane goal was a sweet strike, but I don't think it was that incredible. If it had been anyone else who scored that in a CL finale, it wouldn't be thought of as a highly.

The Maradona goal is obviously absolutely phenomenal, and context (World Cup quarter final...) is obviously important, but it's comedy how slow the English midfield and defence are. Compared to Messi against Getafe, Maradona is almost jogging along.

I saw Vialli score for Sampdoria with an aqua-plane diving header on a wet pitch.

Might not be the greatest goal but deffo one of my favourites.
