There should be plenty of room to exploit in the midfield for this, so we need to play with plenty of pace and movement. Really hope Bellamy can stretch to one more game this week, it would be great to see him tormenting Evra. We should be peppering their goal with shots too, De Gea looks really susceptible.

it's incredible that we've drawn united this round and chelsea have got qpr. us and the mancs means the story of the round, suarez evra etc. we draw any other team this round and the news is about nothing but the terry ferdinand handshake or not.

I'd have Henderson over Spearing every time. But either way it should be Adam making way, as he offers much less than either in terms of work rate which could be crucial tomorrow.

i've come around to that three actually. spearing's puppy of war act to cover for adam when needed. gerrard closer their goal for increased goal threat.

I think Spearing just offers that cover for Adam and Gerrard to do the creative stuff. I'm not sure that Henderson offers that protection although he did well on Wednesday to be fair.

 

Spearing, Henderson and Gerrard could work. We're more of a threat with Gerrard further forward than Henderson.

no downing? i can see the logic of maxi for runs into the box and the goal threat. kuyt's got to play on evra, annoy him and wind him up. carroll's the random factor in that.

Downing has earned a start. Kuyt should definitely play. Would be happy for that three of Spearing, Adam and Gerrard if it means Gerrard can push forward more and Henderson isn't trusted further back.

 

United going to come out the same as they did at Anfield we think? Try and frustrate and take us back to Old Trafford?

yeah that's where i see downing and henderson tomorrow now. start with the tight three in the middle, spearing as the terrier and with kuyt, maxi and gerrard the ones playing off carroll. probably about our best goal threat total right now.

Nope.

 

In reality, I would have Spearing and his Terrier instincts behind Adam and Gerrard. Front three, don't know, Maxi, Kyut, Carroll, Henderson, Bellamy, Downing..... Who knows. Would love to have Bellamy in there for his pure attitude, footballing and otherwise, to wind them up, but maybe he would be a good sub to come on if we are either winning or losing for the very same reasons.
