Buzz Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Though I am far from confident about this game, I let out a little sigh of relief when I saw this pop up at the top of the thread list.

Davvo Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) Same team as Wednesday for me. Bellers can rest when Luis is available again, or at Wolves Tuesday. Two days of ice bath's, massage, rhino testicle injections, or whatever the hell else his regimen involves, and he'll be fine * * no I'm not sharing my medical credentials. RBM Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 There should be plenty of room to exploit in the midfield for this, so we need to play with plenty of pace and movement. Really hope Bellamy can stretch to one more game this week, it would be great to see him tormenting Evra. We should be peppering their goal with shots too, De Gea looks really susceptible. Scholes to be sent off too
Stevie H Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 it's incredible that we've drawn united this round and chelsea have got qpr. us and the mancs means the story of the round, suarez evra etc. we draw any other team this round and the news is about nothing but the terry ferdinand handshake or not. ah well bring 'em on. same energy levels as the city match please. assuming we're not too knackered.
richwilks Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 No Henderson? I'd prefer to see Gerrard pushing on rather than Henderson. All depends if Spearing is fit though.
RBM Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I'd prefer to see Gerrard pushing on rather than Henderson. All depends if Spearing is fit though. I'd have Henderson over Spearing every time. But either way it should be Adam making way, as he offers much less than either in terms of work rate which could be crucial tomorrow.

All depends if Spearing is fit though.i've come around to that three actually. spearing's puppy of war act to cover for adam when needed. gerrard closer their goal for increased goal threat.

I think Spearing just offers that cover for Adam and Gerrard to do the creative stuff. I'm not sure that Henderson offers that protection although he did well on Wednesday to be fair. Spearing, Henderson and Gerrard could work. We're more of a threat with Gerrard further forward than Henderson.
Dan Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 A three of Henderson, Adam and Gerrard bossed it for the last 30 minutes at Anfield in October. I'd play them again.
cymrococh Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 i've come around to that three actually. spearing's puppy of war act to cover for adam when needed. gerrard closer their goal for increased goal threat.Yeah, he's the best Lucas we've got at the moment. Begs the question of Henderson or Dirk though. Porbably has to be henderson on form, but Dirk tends to pull out a performance in these big games and he loves scoring against these. If Maxi plays, so does Dirk. If Downing plays, then Henderson. --------Spearing----Gerrard--Adam----Kuyt--------------Maxi-------Carroll-------- for me.

schmuckdonald Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Downing has earned a start. Kuyt should definitely play. Would be happy for that three of Spearing, Adam and Gerrard if it means Gerrard can push forward more and Henderson isn't trusted further back. United going to come out the same as they did at Anfield we think? Try and frustrate and take us back to Old Trafford?
cymrococh Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Pretty sensible summing up of our current situation from Hansen in the second half of this piece - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16750484.stm

Buzz Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 What do you think?Nope. In reality, I would have Spearing and his Terrier instincts behind Adam and Gerrard. Front three, don't know, Maxi, Kyut, Carroll, Henderson, Bellamy, Downing..... Who knows. Would love to have Bellamy in there for his pure attitude, footballing and otherwise, to wind them up, but maybe he would be a good sub to come on if we are either winning or losing for the very same reasons.
