Jaimie Kanwar and his awful Liverpool-Kop blog

Can anyone point me in the direction of decent LFC blogs which have actual and interesting articles about LFC? I used to love going onto newsnow and reading the views of our articulate fans.

Lately though, it's been a bloody nightmare. The worst of which is that guy Jaimie Kanwar at liverpool-kop.com In EVERY 'article', he takes a quote from the press that we've all already seen umpteen times and tries to spin it from a 10 word quote into a 150 word 'article'. His motives are clearly pay per click advertising rather than football - which makes it even stranger that he signs every article with his name - as if he is somehow proud of his journalistic offerings. What he posts are, at best, forum topics and not articles.

Anyway, rant over, so who are the decent bloggers? I'm trying to built an RSS list here.

Thanks all.

Always disappointed to see his stories topping the most viewed lists on newsnow. uses all the tricks in the book to entice hits on his rubbish site. Annoying that there are so many dim people out there who can't help falling for it and clicking...

And yes - go read and listen to the Anfield Wrap.

Didn't SOS once offer him a meeting due to his pro Hicks and Gillet articles, but he wouldn't come to Liverpool as it wasn't neutral territory? He was also very pro Hodgson and manipulated stats to try and make it look as though he was doing no worse a job than past managers. He's a complete tool, and most of the comments under his articles say as much. Just best avoided, he's a prick who probably thinks Martin Tyler is good commentator, who offers balanced and considered coverage

When it came out in a US court that Hicks was employing people to write pro-Hicks blogs on his sports teams, I was convinced Kanwar was one of them, but he seems to have outlasted them.

Not sure he is a manc, just too obsessed, could be a blues**** though. He's clearly not a red which makes him quite sad to spend so much time obsessing and trying to spin everything in a bad light.

BTW, you can block sources on NewsNow, so you don't have to see him, or the other crap like give me football. Can't see how to do it on the mobile site though.

Do you read the website?

Yeah. I don't get the whole 'fashion' section but the footy stuff and panel is top class.

Again, I really don't get the fashion thing. If anything, I think it reduces the integrity of an otherwise fantastic resource.

Yes. He was then offered neutral territory and refused that as well.

Just do this:

1) Go to NewsNow.co.uk

2) Find liverpool-kop.com in the list of Liverpool FC stories

3) Left click on the site name (not the story link) and select "Hide Publication"

3a) repeat for similar spurious s**** sites

4) Never see such crap again.
