Any decent places for brekkie in NYC?

I'm calling on the massed knowledge of the forum for some info/advice.

 

I'm off to New York for a few days next week and could do with some recommendations for places to get a decent breakfast. I'm partial to a traditional american breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes - so I'm not looking for anything fancy, just basic diner fare. I'm staying near Grand Central so ideally I'm looking for something within a few blocks from there..

 

Any other recomendations for places to eat will be welcome too.
