Started to really warm to him last time he was with us, despite the fact he's a pantomime villain with some of his on field nonsense.

 

But he's a hell of a player, a really good professional and gives us that edge we have sometimes lacked.

Deffo deserves a song. Was pleased to see him come back to the club because of what he offers on the pitch then really liked the way he came across in the LFC.tv '60 Minute Interview' a week or two back. And he has been totally boss contribution-wise so far. Rave on Craig Bellamy!

He's less pointy and less offsidey than he was last time.

Think Rafa liked to use his pace to stretch defences so played him higher up than he has in recent seasons. I know Bellamy has since credited Rafa for teaching him a lot about the game, but I'm sure he made a comment sometime after he left about how he's about more than pace and prefers to be given more freedom on the pitch. The deeper wide role really seems to suit him. I know he kicked up a stink about playing wide right at Newcastle under Souness (?), but that was a traditional 'stay wide and cross it' role. He's very good as an inside-left (where he played a lot at City) or a second striker.
