New York Red Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I've been his worse critic in the past. I hated his crazy and sometimes racist behaviour when he was young and he was such an *rsehole when he was playing against us. I didn't like the whole Riise thing either -- totally out of order. BUT... My friends in Cardiff always said that he treated tradesmen who came to his house incredibly well. They won't have a bad word said about him. He did a really honourable thing in insisting on playing for his hometown club and doing all he could to get them promoted. He quietly gives plenty of money to charities and his football camps for disadvantaged kids. But when playing for us he brings a whole new dimension to things. He encourages our players, he's got the best fight in him of any person on the pitch, he winds up the opposition, he is incredibly unselfish. He is looking like our best signing of the summer to be honest. I bloody love the guy.
New York Red Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 but would you take eden hazard over him? I don't see why that needs to be a choice. I'd have the both of them.
Owen1978 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Would love to have a 10 years younger bellamy, like players who have a lot of skill and are pests like suarez, tevez etc...
KD07 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 i think we lack more players of his mentality, the aggressive and supremely competitive type. Of course, his pace is an added bonus.
D.Boon Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Never should have got rid of him first time round.
fred milne Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I hated his crazy and sometimes racist behaviour when he was youngWhat was that?
Epic Swindle Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Was this posted when the match was on?
carrafan Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Bellamy has matured a lot in these last few years. Even at 32 he is an incredible asset to have, for 60 mins on the pitch. Him and his mouth never stop running.
Swan Red Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Was this posted when the match was on? yes
muleskinner Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Racist? Is this the same Bellamy who funds an academy in Africa?
madaboutlfc Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Racist? Is this the same Bellamy who funds an academy in Africa? what infuriates me is the lies perpetuated by the media start being treated as facts and it demeans the seriousness of racism
RafaShanks Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Love the way he wound up fat Frank today. Pure class.
Swipe Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Love the way he wound up fat Frank today. Pure class. Dion Fanning tweeted that he was joking with Lampard at the end but Terry changed direction when walking off to avoid walking passed him (Bellers)! He's s*** scared of the little mentalist!
New York Red Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 what infuriates me is the lies perpetuated by the media start being treated as facts and it demeans the seriousness of racism The earlier stuff wasn't lies unfortunately. He used to drink a lot more than he does now and acted pretty poorly in some bars and clubs in Cardiff. He's a changed man now though.

Swan Red Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 this racist thing, quite an accusation that. and completely unneccessary anecdotal b******s, if he has something to say he should say it the bad bell
kop205 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 and completely unneccessary anecdotal b******s, if he has something to say he should say it the bad bell He kind of has I suppose. I think the issue more is that it doesn't really warrant metioning in the first place given as there is substantial eviddence that he certainly isn't like that now.
Swan Red Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 He's referred to something on the snide during the match, if there's a discussion to be had lets have it, it's just completely unneccessary
Buzz Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Love all this.I may have just found my new facebook profile pic....
Swipe Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 On the other hand though - it's nice to know Bellers knows how to treat tradesmen.
Flight Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Every time he has come on as a sub he has turned the game around. Played reallywell from the kick off vrs Chelsea. He should start, simple as. Same as Maxi. If he doesn't it's because Kenny is trying too hard to stand by his signings.
