sami hyypia in the 1-4 at old trafford. ball comes over his shoulder from about 40 yards, being chased back towards his own goal, and he basically catches it on his foot. hansen highlighted it in his analysis on MOTD that evening. video's been deleted off youtube unfortunately.

 

another one i remember is zola. similar thing, but going the other way. think it was off a superb gullit pass, which made it all the better to watch.

I'll knock Gazza and England with the best of 'em but that goal is insanely good. A lot of the credit is lost due to it being Gazza and the subsequent celebration... but any other player scores that and it'll be viewed for the genius it is.

 

Iniesta in the CL about three weeks back. His first touch after the one-two to knock it to his other foot for the goal is sublime.

 

A Torres one versus Chelsea. At home, either '07 or '08. Knocks it wide of Cech to give him the angle. Brilliant. Shame he's dead now.

At home against Real Madrid, Torres took a little flick behind his leg as a first touch that took Cannavaro out of the game and then forced a great save from Casillas after 'giving him the eyes'. If that shot had gone in that whole liitle movement would be replayed forever.

Remember at the time thinking it was magnificent, but it was right up the other end and am not sure I;ve seen it since. I remembered it as being more central.

 

We really, realy f***ing battered them that night didn't we? There are 3 great saves from Casillas in that compilation as well.

I came to blows with the blusehite goalie in my Uni football team who claimed it was a fluke and he hadn't meant it.
