We are looking to implement an easy and quick way for people in the office to save emails to a central server to allow any other users to access and find certain emails easily.

 

We are a largeish muti-disipline construction company and for example if I approve a certain kind of column to be built on site via email and somebody needs to access that data at a later date, it would really help if you could log into a programme and use a search filter like

email from: joe blogs

email sent between: 1/1/01 - 10/01/01

Text contained: column, approve

contains attachment: yes

 

It would also be handy if it meant we could just save our emails as a *.msg format to do this.

 

Am I dreaming or is there a programme that does this?

 

Someone suggested to me that Symantec's enterprise vault does this but I cant make head nor tail of it on their website.
