Where does he stand in the pantheon of music legends?

 

Whilst acknowledging that they had some good tracks, I was never a Nirvana fan, as much as anything because I just didn't really identify with them/him in anyway.

 

Most of those people I knew who were fans seemed to be trying a bit too hard to paint themselves as tortured souls. But then maybe that was just because I was 16/17 when he died and people at that age are very much trying to find an indentity, even if it is a bit of a contrived one.

 

Obviously dying young age helps his legend to grow, but how good was he? How much more could he have done?
