Not sure what to say here, but get well soon I guess. Not sure what he has coming down the line will help though.

From the beeb

Tottenham have confirmed that manager Harry Redknapp is to undergo a medical procedure, the details of which have not yet been revealed.

The 64-year-old will therefore be unable to travel with the squad to Russia for their Europa League fixture against Rubin Kazan on Thursday.

Spurs occupy top spot in Group A, two points ahead of Greek side PAOK.

Assistant manager Kevin Bond and first-team coach Joe Jordan will assume first-team duties in his absence.

.

Press association take on it

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp will undergo minor heart surgery on Wednesday.

The 64-year-old went to hospital on Tuesday night to undergo tests and will now have an operation on a minor blockage in one of his arteries, Press Association Sport understands.

Tottenham confirmed on Tuesday night that the former West Ham manager was set to undergo a "medical procedure" that would rule him out of the club's trip to Rubin Kazan this week. Assistant manager Kevin Bond and first-team coach Joe Jordan will take charge of the team for Thursday night's Europa League match in Russia.

Shortly before entering theatre he speculated, at length, about the surgeon he has been given whilst making it clear that there are other surgeons at other hospitals that he'd love to have had but they're under contract so what can you do?

Not doom and gloom for all, however, cos with 'rubber face' out of the picture, this could clear the way for 'face rubber' to be next England manager.

Coincedence given the tax evasion trial is currently being heard?

like all the old boy gangsters at the end of scorcese's casino. redknapp will turn up in court on a f***ing ventilator.

What I was getting at is that he's currently giving evidence at the hearing, rather than having any medical illness at all, which is why he can't travel.

He'll give an interview to Geoff Shreeves from the ****ing hospital window.

Then ring TalkSport while he's under anaesthetic.

'eart problems surely

when did it start? Thought he was going for trial rather than a hearing?

Sorry, meant trial. I'm sure I read somewhere that the trial was set for October/November. No idea why its not being reported in the press, maybe there's a order prohibiting it from being reported. Don't you think it's weird how it's all gone quiet?

Shouldn't the word "nearly" be in there?

'arry nearly 'ad a 'eart attack and he nearly 'ad the best surgeon and anesthetist, just couldn't agree terms.

To be fair to the fella, its no wonder he's got heart problems. What with Sky Sports News always making him sit in his car for hours on end, he never gets any time for any exercise.

It's a nice touch that he's revealed other managers' heart problems. Bet they're pleased.

That's really awesome, he just can't f***ing stop himself when it comes to talking about other peoples business. Be it players or heart conditions.

You can't keep a good Spiv down.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has reiterated that he is willing to sign Carlos Tevez but admits that the club cannot afford to meet Manchester City's asking price or pay the striker's wages.
