Punch Patrick Barclay in the face. Twice.

Knee James Richardson in the groins or

Poke Gabriel Marcotti in the eye with a s***ty stick

Because after listening to the excellent 'Wrap' #11 toady, I made the serious mistake of listening to both The Times and Guardian footie podcasts, and to a man, those three were c**** of the highest order.

The Times poddy even had Carroll not playing this weekend because of 'his lifestyle'

I mean FFS

Id like to hang Barclay and Winter upside down off two adjacent trees then let them go so they swing and smack their heads off each other repeatedly like that office toy.

What's wrong with the Guardian guys?

i don't particularly mind richardson and glendenning, the two who come in for the most flak. think barney ronay comes across as a bit of a nob though.

Richardson wants to be loved SO fecking much and has the worst puns in the world.

Marcotti is just fecking an awful, smarmy fecker.

Glendenning is class mind, and the French lad they had on this week was good.

Barclay though - Jesus, he need shooting.

Philippe Auclair - Everyone seems to like him. Personally I can't stand him, he rates Hodgson just to give you an idea.

I'm a bad person.

Was listening to 'The Game' podcast again yesterday - the one where Marcotti (ok, he's not TOO bad ....) was asking Barclay about his formative football experiences.

Barclay goes on about when he was a wee boy he used to go and support Dundee by walking to the game on his own ...

Marcotti - exasperated went, 'at the age of eight of 9, you went to a match on your own....'

and Barclay said that 'Oh, of course there were murderers and paedophiles about in those days too, y'know .., but ...'

And I couldn't help thinking 'If only'.

Fellah's a gobschoite.

Been listening to these every week since original post. Apart from his awful puns, I was wrong about Richardson - The Guardian podcast is very good, and Glendenning is just fantastic (always imagine Chris O'Dowd when he speaks), and Sid Lowe's input is fantastic, though I'd rather hear a bit more about La Liga than Real/Barca.

The Times podcast is much better now Barclay has been kicked out to live with the rats in the London sewers, but I still don't like Marcotti - they were pretty cowardly this Monday with their criticism of the crowd getting at Evra, especially as Marcotti said up front that they had no Liverpool 'fan' was in the contributors. Stewart Robson was good though.

Also listen to Johnny Giles Podcast after the City semi-final. I've always thought he talked sense on the whole but he got stuck into Thommo's (IMO correct) views on why Downing, Henderson etc... had taken so long to settle, and he also got stuck into Stevie's comments after Bolton, which Giles interpreted as Stevie blaming everyone EXCEPT himself for the defeat, which is not how I read it at all.

I usually listen to The Wrap and other podcasts when I'm out running. Wrap is miles ahead of the rest.

Can't believe you've lumped Jimbo in with those two.. and even then, Marcotti's safe.

I'm punching Barclay every time, the Danish King.

That's a great idea though I think there are some spots going in the middle

There are few more annoying 'pundits' in football than Perry Groves. He's the inarticulate voice of unfulfilled mediocrity. When Colin Murray isn't the biggest tosser on a programme you know you are dealing with a special kind of c***.
