The Reds face Rangers in a friendly at Ibrox tonight (7.30pm) and Dalglish has taken a strong squad to Glasgow.

 

Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Luis Suarez have not travelled as the manager rests them ahead of Saturday's home league clash with Norwich City. However, Glen Johnson and Daniel Agger are expected to return from injury.

 

Shame Carra is still seen as that important. Is anyone even going to watch his? Not even on telly.

It's a shame that we didn't buy an established CB in the summer, but it is not a shame that Carra, given he is the 2nd best CB at the club, and the best one is never fit, is rested in a meaningless game.

 

If anything it would be a complete waste playing Carra in this game, giving Coates a full 90 mins in a strong back 4 is vital however.
