Me and the wife both drive to work down the M6, everyone morning and afternoon it is chocca

sometimes it takes my wife upto 2hours to get out of City Centre and back home which is only

a 15m journey.

They recently expanded the M6 to a four laner which has hardly made a difference during rush hour.

And i dont expect this govt to have any clue to find ways of solving it...

So i had a thought and was thinking of putting up on the Govt website where they ask for your ideas,

So im going to run it by here first and get an idea of its any good.

Im proposing the following;

Between the hours of 7am to 9am / 4.30pm to 6.30pm -

Vehicles which are large (e.g 18 tonners), slow and non critical to not be allowed on the roads

at these times

For UK companies transporting good within the uk over a certain distance (100m for example) they

have to use the rail network.

I hoping this will reduce congestion during rush hours and also promote and encourage business

to start using our rail network and thus hopefully getting investment in this area (improving the railways, jobs etc..)

Im sure this might require a bit of tinkering but thats my general idea
