I know we have a few keen golfers on here.

 

I'm playing off 24 and want to start chipping away at it. Thing is I'm never gonna play enough to get near scratch but would be quite happy at 12- 14 or for now.

 

I've got an odd grip, I'm using right handed clubs but my left hand is below my right. I dunno whether to go for lessons to retrain me to the correct methood or buy some decentish clubs. In and around the greens I'm fine, generally within 100yards I'm down in 2 or 3. My problem is my long irons mainly. 4/5/6 I'm having real trouble with and cant hit a hybrid to save my life. Par 5's are a nightmare for me.

 

So upgrade or retrain?
