Hard to leave Dirk out as he's a big game player, just don't think we can leave AC out after his goal and I think we need that bif ot extra protection in CM. It's never usually a scrap against this lot and they do let you play.

Their CM is not a huge concern, it's the flanks where they can be devestating. Get tight, stop the supply and kick Rooney repeatedly in the face should do it.

Agree, Gerrard, Lucas should be plenty good enough to handle fat boy Anderson et al. All their threat comes from out wide. Dirk has to play, Stewie needs to track back like a motherf*****. Definitely play Carrol and Suarez. So 4-4-2 picks itself.

A couple of the Utd fans I speak to reckon his work-rate/tracking of midfield runners when they don't have the ball is shocking. He was awful on Saturday too apparently despite scoring.
