Epic Swindle Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 The Leigh MP admits he has been frustrated by the stance of past city councils on the stadia issues, particularly over Stanley Park. “That frustrated me a bit because from my blue tinted perspective I kind of felt that there was more help being provided by the city council back then, not the current administration, to Liverpool,” he says. “I remember asking an official from the council when I was culture secretary, “So what park are you going to let Everton build on?” when they were talking about there not being a site for us. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news/2011/09/30/everton-fc-fan-and-shadow-education-secretary-andy-burnham-believes-shared-stadium-is-the-way-forward-for-mersey-clubs-100252-29512926/ Wonder if they mentioned the Kings Dock. Should be on Bluekipper this deluded bitter c***.
Falconhoof Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 cheeky that. Neither team has had anything much off the council.
Epic Swindle Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Read the rest of it, I was searching for the sick bucket. They love playing on that romantic underdog nonsense, how they've stayed close to their roots, which means they're skint, and yet they also want to play with the big boys.
smithdown Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 “It’s a club with soul” “You walk in through these doors and it’s welcoming. It’s about the love of the club and the sport and that’s what sets Evertonians and Everton apart.” These exciting phrases and more now available in all formats of sticker including full rear window from the club shop.
Cobs Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Everton haven't the money to build a stadium out of Lego, so pick any park you like you daft bell.
Morse Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I like Burnham. He was good to his word re: help for Hillsborough files. He is a blue, fair enough.
Falconhoof Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I like Burnham. He was good to his word re: help for Hillsborough files. He is a blue, fair enough. I doubt anyone would say otherwise. He's been supportive of the justice campaign and I think any reasonable red would be grateful. Doesn't stop people disagreeing with what he's saying on this issue.
