Can't see a Tevez thread, so either I am being blind, or the Tevez discussion has hijacked another thread, probably one about Rafa, Lucas or OOT'ers if there is any justice.

Anyhow. WTF is he doing? What's the point in agitating for a move 3 weeks after the window is shut?

Is he trying to avoid being cup-tied in the CL for the January window? How many Argentinian teams are there in the CL anyway? I assume he is really after a move to Spain / Italy but who in their right mind is going to spend that much on him?

What is he expecting? Assuming City really did get a £40m bid from Corinthians in the summer (which I still don't believe) who is going to pay that fee, and his salary (and given he is a Kia Joorbiawhatsiface client, the chances of him dropping his wages demands are slim to none. Just what does he expect to happen here?

He's already cuptied from the first game isnt he?

He needs to have a good long look at himself. That'll be punishment enough.

It would be better if he just got on the pitch and didn't give a crap. That way, he wouldn't be selected again. Presumably he could be in trouble for breech of contract for refusing to play, but not so if he just played awfully. Hopefully they'll be forced to sell him for about 15 million in January.

tim vickery was as usual the only one on the station with anything interesting or enlightening to say.

Top of my head. Tevez is making himself unpopular at home. Front page news in Argentina, people formerly ate up his slum to premier league story and he was a hero. Things started moving when he was left out of the national team for moaning etc, campaign to get him back in led to clear the air talks with the coach and a promise to stop moaning. Team has a bad Copa, he starts moaning, misses a penalty and his popularity takes a knock, now he has in the wider view committed a sin against the team sport ideal by refusing to play.

Overall he is becoming difficult to take on because he always falls out. The man is never committed to the club, but the player on the pitch is, however the man always wins out. Not enough money in Argentina, Brazil only eases his desire to be back in Argentina, speaks poor Portuguese, not a perfect solution. The summer deal breaker, the way in which Corinthians wanted to pay for him, may now be acceptable to City, however the club may think twice when they already have two star strikers who are difficult to manage and Tevez is pulling this stunt.

yeah that's about the size of it. tevez refusing to play was front page of the big argentina footy newspaper as it was considered so offensive etc.

kia joorabchian has to be behind a lot of this since tevez really doesn't come across as the smartest lad.

I'm not sure even as diabolical an entity as a footy agent is going to tell his charge to refuse to come off the bench when all the cameras are on him.

Think the lad himself has just disappeared up his own hoop.

Tevez claiming he refused to warm up again ( as he'd already warmed up once) not refused to play
