Absolutely. Knew that team had achieved above their station and was getting old, with money for replacements not being guaranteed.

Didn't over-achieve. that was a superb team. the problem is that it was an aging team that came right together. to continue being good, it needed evolutionary change. the problem is for Inter that once Moratti had matched his dad's achievement (and how Greek/Shakespearean is this?) he retreated back into his default position of interference and impatience.
