He's a perfect fit in Kenny's style of play and has the kind of movement Suarez, Kuyt and probably Downing would thrive off, too...

Don't get it either. I'm all for letting players settle but also getting players blooded in slowly: Hendo's auto-picking is a bit baffling currently, especially given Maxi's prior form.

He's got to be given a chance now. He had such a great end to last season I have no idea why Kenny is not selecting him. I would take him over Henderson any day of the week. At least Maxi scores and creates goals. Hendo does nothing.

I think there is some truth to this. Kenny's signings will be given some more leeway. They were signed for a reason after all.

 

All managers are guilty of this. Josemi was preferred over Finnan to begin with.

Absolutely. Add Downing and have Suarez and Maxi behind Kuyt with all 4 interchanging. Spearing and Lucas as the 2 CM´s with a back 4 of Kelly, Coates, Agger (or Carra) and Enrique with Gerrard, Bellamy, AC, Hendo, Carra/Skrtel, Adam and Doni,. Gerrard to bring on after 60mins. Is Adam banned for Brighton or Wolves? In any case he shouldn´t start against Wolves and should only make the bench if eligible.

Why is it a british/foreign thing for you? It's Kenny's call, and that should be respected. I doubt nationality comes into it and he won't be scared of throwing Maxi in. It's not like we've been s*** so far and needed to make massive changes from our first defeat of the season.

Is right. Having Adam and Henderson in midfield just leaves Lucas way too much work, none of those guys are up to it defensively

Can also be argued that up until today we haven't really faced a quality opposition midfield. Run up against Modric and Parker, plus a bunch of Spurs players running their balls off, and they got exposed
