New York Red Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Watched a good film last night about them. It's called "Once in a Lifetime". I highly recommend it. I hope if they come back into existence, they aren't like they were in the 70's. All glitz and no substance. It also makes you realize what pr*ck Georgio Chinaglia is, and to some degree, Pele also.
Falconhoof Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 doesn't rick parry work for them now, and that cockney mate of Alan Sugar who used to do some of the interviwing on The Apprentice. All topped off with Cantona.

Benzo-13 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 They're sponsored to the nines by Umbro and want to get into the MLS but that whole league is sponsored by Adidas.Something tells me it's just a con to sell over priced retro fashion shirts.
New York Red Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 It would be cool to see them in the MLS though. The league has been growing sensibly in the last fifteen years and I hope they keep it up. They need a legitimate first and second division though, possibly regionally based. I'd like to see teams in San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix, San Antonio, St. Louis, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Orlando. Over the next 10-20 years though. Football is getting there in the US...
Leo No.8 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 They've got no chance of getting back into the MLS when their entire annual budget is being used on fax machine repairs at present.
Clay Davis Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) Football is getting there in the US...Ignore, sorry. Edited September 6, 2011 by Clay Davis
