Sion Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 (edited) You think Arsenal will finish above Chelsea? Top 6 as it probably should be called nowadays... UtdCityUsChelseaSpursArsenal Spurs/Arsenal could go either way though Edited September 1, 2011 by Sion
robfar1 Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 Yes I fancy the a***...that doesn't sound quite right but...I think arsenal may surprise and Arteta is a great signing. They have some good players coming back and I think Chelsea are fragile so I stand by the prediction....But I agree it should have been top 6 so CityUtdUsa***ChelseaSpurs You think Arsenal will finish above Chelsea? Stevie H Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 i'll be pretty surprised if the top four at the end of the season isn't the two mancs, chelsea and us in some order. think 5th and 6th could be a real scrap and the two north london clubs are going to be looking over their shoulders a bit. stoke could be interesting movers and shakers, the rest of the league looks much of a muchness really.
Coyler Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Fifth for us...there'll be some inherent fault in the squad which we're overlooking at the moment but which will become very obvious by the seventh or eighth match, and that will be compounded by two serious injuries and three matches robbed from us by refs at Christmas.
Gunga Din Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 top 4 will be us, Chelsea and the 2 mancs. I can see a couple of surprises for 5th and 6th. think the Woolwich Wanderers and Spurs will both struggle all season. Blackburn, Swansea and WBA to go down

Sion Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 (edited) Do Spurs fans realise they just lost 5-1 at home and we're already 7 points ahead of them? http://glory-glory.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=55790&hilit=liverpool&sid=47eb8b3170c9022255e39903b745deb2#p1237953 When I look at this team: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Enrique, Henderson, Adam, Gerrard, Downing, Carroll, Suarez, I don't think it looks anywhere near as good as the team above The 'team above' being -------------Friedel-----------Walker Dawson King/Gallas BAE---------Parker--Sandro--------Van der Vaart--Luka----Bale------------Adebayor--------- and they've won about 4 games in the past 15. Froget the exact figures. Edited September 1, 2011 by Sion

Kvarme Ate My Food Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 We'll finish 2nd or 3rd, having got really really close to winning the f*****.Man Utd will win it, City will finish just above or below us, and Chelsea will be fourth but some distance behind 3rd.Arsenal will be fifth, they'll look good in the second half of the season.6th to 10th will include Sunderland, and gour other teams I couldn't give a s*** about.Spurs won't be in the top half. Everton will flirt with relegation. Norwich, Swansea and Bolton will go down.
yellow jumper Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 i think spurs can be a threat. not sure they will be though. they've got enough good players. problems keeping them all fit though, and the sense that it isn't an entirely happy camp, not helped by europa league and the fact that players who could and should be key for them - the likes of VDV, defoe, adebayor and bale - will probably continue to blow hot and cold. hard to make predictions on the basis of 3 games. i had chelsea walking the league last season after about 10. i reckon we'll finish 4th. but could push 3rd.
Falconhoof Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 A new team called Trelgo Eight will be established, backed by mysterious benefactors. They will be a force, make no mistake about that. I think we have the 2nd or 3rd best squad in the league and should get our rewards as we have a great manager and a hunger about us.
TheLa Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Think it'll be the mancs 1st. City or chelsea 2nd (chelsea I reckon). Us or arsenal 4th (reckon we'll pip them)My wild card prediction...everton to finish above spurs...
sutty Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Interesting reading that. They're heavily weighting the Adebayor basket.
Sion Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 My wild card prediction...everton to finish above spurs... Everton will be lucky to finish above 3 other teams
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 they are muppets. Yes, they have some good players but are very reliant on Bale & Modric; VdV is good, but injury/can't-be-bothered prone. Adebayor will score 7 in his first 3 games for them & then 1 in the next 20
Bigal Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 (edited) Spurs are s**** they arent really, I am just far too hyper Edited September 1, 2011 by Bigal
johngibo YPC Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Interesting reading that. They're heavily weighting the Adebayor basket. There are a few good posts on there. Especially in relation to squad strengthening"we arent Liverpool and we don't have the same problems as they do, so whether we'd be happy with those players is irrelevant - its whether the Liverpool supporters are and from what i have seen they are more than happy with their activity in the last couple of windows"Is a good point. If a club sign a player that they need, it doesn't really matter how he compares to a rival clubs player in that position But as someone else said, some of their more deluded fans are in for a shock
Sion Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Spurs fans are too hung up on fees. That 'supporter' seems to be the biggest muppetPut it this way: Liverpool have sold Meireles for £12m and signed Henderson, Adam and Downing for more than £50m. To me that's a bad window. So, ignoring his dubious maths, selling one player and signing 3 better ones = a bad window? Not sure how that works.

A highly rated striker becomes available (think Carroll). What's he 'worth'? Clearly more to club 1 than club 2
