Help needed from someone with a brain (passport)

Boys, I live in New Zealand now, born and bred in UK but always travelled on irish passport.

 

My old fella is hear visiting and he is due to go back in 4 weeks to uk, he is very old and cant do it by himself, my passport will have 4 weeks left on it by then, so will my 1 week visit to the uk, on my irish eu passport, travelling from nz with 1 month left on it be ok.

 

I know its easy to just say no, has to be 6 months but im getting conflicting info everywhere and getting through to a helpline in the uk is impossible.
