I flew business class to the USA recently. I'm not very big but I had a massive seat and there were two really big men sitting either side of me to make sure I got to the games OK. It must have cost a lot of money, 3 business class seats to america plus paying two men to make sure I came to no harm, but apparently I'm worth it. Anyway, it wasn't me paying thanks goodness and I went to every game on the tour.

You'd know me straight away if you saw me, I'm pretty famous.

European Cup! Or the like.......World cup?

I found out tonight that the FA Cup went on tour with Man City to the US. The FA allowed the cup to leave the country under stringent conditions, these conditions didn't specify(I would hope), giving it it's own seat on a plane, not even an economy seat, oh nosiree. The FA Cup flew business, not only that, so did the two security men who were guarding it.

Notwithstanding whether or not the security men warranted £4000 seats, surely to God the cup could have flown in an overhead locker in a suitable protective case?

Things like this really f*cking nause me off, the supporters at large are struggling to meet ends meet in these trying times yet the FA Cup gets it's own seat. Classic behaviour from people not spending their own money, you couldn't make it up, etc...

I flew the European Cup and Super Cup to Malta in 2006. Stephen Done and another Liverpool guy were in club class,......the trophies in the hold. I recently flew all of Inter's trophies won in 09/10 and 10/11 from Malta to Milan (European Cup, Serie A, Italian Super Cup, Coppa Italian and WCC). All were locked up in heavy duty cases and placed in overhead lcompartments except for the European Cup IIRC as it was too big to fit in.

The FA Cup isn't that big at all. I heard this story today from a mate who's working at City. Ridiculous.

Maybe Owen was sat inside it?

Haha. How come you do all of this Nerik? As an aside, I sat next to a Maltese fella in Dortmund and gave him a scarf, he was made up. Wasn't you was it? :)

English cups for English workers

I am a pilot so I am at times lucky enough to fly someone interesting. I flew Liverpool to Malta in 2000 and got to hold the European Cup in 2006. Was not in Dortmund but quite a few Maltese did go. I was in Istanbul though..... :)
