Tosh Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 (edited) Wife and I were away over the weekend in Paris and had an odd experience... She was pointing out some of the jewellery she liked in a shop window. A hand appeared near my foot and out of a small hole in the pavement he (semingly) picked up a mens wedding ring. We expressed surprise and told him it was not ours, he pointed out the hallmarking. He said nothing but sort of offered it to me, at which point I suggested he hand it in to the shop. He then very quickly lost interest and marched off, ring in hand. So has this chap just got lucky and found a ring, or was this a scam to get people to buy the ring/get their wallets out? If it's a scam it's more creative than getting covered in "bird crap" and a helpful passer by then offers to help wipe it off (and help himself to your wallet). Had that one a few years back in Barcelona Edited July 11, 2011 by Tosh
