Scam?

Want to buy a pair of speakers off a classified ad. The price is ridiculously good (too good to be true?) After agreeing a price these are the two responses i have had the second after i queried that any courier company would accept cash on delivery or be happy to wait while i inspect the goods.

First Response (did not ask for anything to be couriered)

"Hi , excuse my late reply but I was tied up with work outside of town. Would u agree with delivery ? coz as I've mentioned I'm caught out of town with work commitments and I had left the speakers to a local courier this morning at my expense incl the shipping fees.

The speakers will get to u in approx 1 day. You'll have to inspect and void the shipment if something's wrong and the agent will take it back if you don't sign for it, but everything is like I described so there shouldn't be any problems. For payment you'll need cash in hand. Thx"

Second response

"Yes its an insurance program so u can inspect it before accepting the shipment.. I don't know more details, FedEx said we'll find out more information after I register an shipping address with them & we'll both receive an email notification regarding this containing all necessary information and important guidelines.. If you wish to continue I'll need to pass FedEx an shipping address and phone no..

P.S. I can't phone you as i am deaf, this is my only way of contact, but please bare with me I am a serious seller"

When pushed as to why a deaf person would need nice speakers she said the speakers were for her son.

It looks like a scam but cant see where i get stung?
