Why even bother with a post season break?

There are loads of leagues around Europe that have longer breaks in the winter than the summer, so this only seems stupid if you are coming at it from a certain perspective.

 

The competitions are designed to fit the calendars of the big leagues, by the way.

exactly. the worst bit about the champions league was playing s**** sides from Hungary or Austria or wherever. throw us in a group with Madrid or Barca or Bayern. much better fun.
