BDB Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 Rather odd statement. Hearts statement 24.06.2011 The Hearts Board of Directors has issued the following statement in relation to outside influences on players and the club. "What's happening with the club today is not a new thing. For almost 7 years we have been fighting to shield the club from crooks, criminals and thieves. Many of the top players at the club have felt the bitter results of the swindles that have been carried out with them on their own skin. Skacel and Webster have returned to the club after realising where these 'football patriots' have led them. "Over a short space of time 4 players at our club have been on the wrong end of the law. We note that 3 of them are represented by the same agent - Gary Mackay - who has been so vicious in his attacks against Mr Romanov. "Taking into account the facts that have been omitted by the media it can be presumed that each of these cases is not a coincidence, but the result of targeted actions of a mafia that wants to manipulate the club and the results. "Every year Hearts fights to be in the top 3, but even last season in the last 12 games of the season it was almost like someone replaced the team with a different one. Whose fault is that? Players? Manager's? Or it is mafia. "Stealing players, bad games, problems with the law - all of that on top of record SFA fines. Problems are just shifted to another level. "Mafia are dragging kids into the crime, in order to blackmail and profit on them. It is not possible to separate these people from pedophiles, and you don't need to do that. Each year we are forced to fight against these maniacs harder and harder. We are standing in their way not letting them manipulate the game of football in the way they want. As such they undermine us in every possible way they can. "The task of the club is to tear these kids out of hands of criminals.
libero Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 They must be smoking some weird skunk hash or something???
Zoob Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Not nearly as good as this one from Romanov that was posted on Hearts' official site in 2007: Dear Monkeys, Today I will not be showing your portrait to you. It is pointless. You are one step away from becoming human beings. Go and carefully have a look at yourself in the mirror. Don't you see a human in it? Stop fighting for the values which the ex-captain of Hearts was fighting for. Education and truthful information - that should be your input to humankind. Your leader Mowgli is not taking bananas any more, now he is taking money for lies and untruthful interpretation. However he is greedy and makes you collect rotten information from cesspits and poisons readers with it. This is unworthy even of a monkey. Today I will express my opinion in English about refereeing in order that your Mowgli will not make you tell lies. To discuss whether referees take money or not is the same as discussing a woman who gives herself with no love. Isn't it better to concentrate on the standard of their work instead of looking for reasons for their poor performance? A woman cheats herself and nature if she gives herself without love. If a referee officiates a game based on his personal love, he commits a cynical crime, especially when the public has trusted him. I respect those referees who take money from two stupid teams and then honestly officiates a game. They do not harm football in any way. Though it is bad, still everybody is equal for them. Perhaps that is the reason why football in Italy will never die despite all the scandals that continuously shake it. I think that is much better than being the champions for 40 years while building up the same system for further 40 years. Now it has become obvious to me why you, the Monkeys, were trying to ruin Hearts not only in the Championship, but in European competitions as well. I think it was not without your help that the 'frozen' referee from Russia was selected to officiate our match and that in the games against the Greek side we got three red cards. It is not without your help that traitors were presented as heroes thus showing the road to children for betrayal. You will always call teachers silly because unlike you they lead children along the correct path. Protecting your values in that way just spoils not only football, but also a Scotsman's proud name. I beg you Mowgli, take the monkeys back to the Safari Park!
Buzz Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Are these cryptic messages regarding, money/shares in the club/transffers etc? They're mental! I've got a new 'second' club to follow now. Straight out of the Sopranos this!
Cam Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 I'm missing my fill of insane owners. Even gangster rumours seem to have dried up over the last few years. And methinks Hearts are going to need a few Internet Terrorist tips over the next few years.

Swipe Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Then there's their player who's had to be put on the sex offenders register
Maldini Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Yeah, and they're not sacking him for chatting up a 12-year-old because there were "mitigating circumstance" which is pretty f***ing weird itself. The lad made a similarly weird statement himself saying it was a "result of a grave error of judgement due to naivety and possible wrong outside influence rather than anything sinister."

Does that imply he didn't realise they were so young and jet thought he was flirting with some girls? Not sure what other mitigating circumstances they could be referring too. He's gonna get some right abuse.

smithdown Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Yeah but that doesn't add upHe met the 14 year old girl in a scholl he volunteered to help out it in. And she has her date of birth on her facebook page, through which he was communicating with herAnd apparantly he has known the 12 year old for a few years Sounds like he's finished http://news.scotsman.com/scotland/39I39m-swithering-over-sex-offender.6791618.jp THE chairman of Hearts Supporters' Trust is reconsidering his support for Craig Thomson after the mother of his 12-year-old victim detailed how the footballer sent naked pictures of himself, explicit e-mails and tried to take her on secret drives. Derek Watson had previously said Thomson, who was fined £4,000 and placed on the sex offenders register for five years, was the victim of a "witch hunt". Yesterday, he said he was now "swithering" in his support and refused to comment on whether the player should remain with the club beyond this week. Pressure was growing on Hearts to sack Thomson, 20, after the chief executive of the charity Children 1st said that there was no place in the team for a convicted sex offender. Anne Houston said: "There is no place in our society for role models who have been convicted of sexual offences, no matter what other talents they might have." Mr Watson, who had previously supported the club's decision to retain the player, said the new reports had made him change his mind. "It does make me change my mind a little bit, swither is a good word. I am swithering at the moment." He also said that Thomson's position was more tenuous. He added: "He is in a more difficult position than he was in last week." Yesterday, the mother of one of the player's victims gave an interview in which she detailed Thomson's behaviour. The woman, who cannot be named, said the player had been a close family friend who went to school with the victim's elder sister and was well aware of the young girl's age, as he had known her since she was six. The mother had been unaware of Thomson's "grooming" behaviour until the police contacted her. She said the player met the 12-year-old at a party, added her as friend on Facebook and then chatted to her online for nine months from January 2010. She said: "She would mention that she had been chatting to him and I thought nothing of it. "I worry that I didn't pick up on that. I wonder if she was trying to tell us something but didn't know how to. "He had asked her if she had told her big sister they were chatting. He told her he didn't think she should and that he didn't imagine she'd be too happy about it. "A couple of days in he pushed her into speaking to him in front of the webcam. When I heard the things he was saying to her after the police became involved I was shocked and disgusted. "Nearly every time he was in contact with her he asked her to take her top off. He moved on to sending pictures of himself naked. She was a 12-year-old girl. It's disgusting." The girl, who is now 13, said the player's unwanted attention gave her "the creeps". She went on to say that Thomson would follow her around. Thomson was fined £4,000 and placed on the sex offenders register for five years after pleading guilty to lewd, libidinous and indecent behaviour earlier this month.
johngibo YPC Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 swither is a good word It is. He's spot on there
smithdown Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 A £4k fine seems a remarkably light touch, btw. He could do with a trip to NYR's chamber for a good swithering.

drdooom Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Maybe the "wrong outside influence" was the mafia guy off camera pointing his gun at him. Not sure how outside influence could make someone do that otherwise.
Leo No.8 Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 (edited) There's nothing down for him - if he goes on playing for Hearts he's going to get vicious abuse and deserves every bit of it. No way he can have any kind of career now. And unless 'swithering' means he was completely wrong about the horrible c*nt and hopes he rots in hell; then I think good word though it is, its a bit weak. I'd imagine you may 'swither' on your enjoyment of a certain wine or other, rather than on your very public support of someone who appears to be some sort of a predatory paedophile. smithdown Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 Drinks company macb has withdrawn its support as the official water sponsor of football club Hearts. The move comes after the club said it would not sack player Craig Thomson, who has been convicted of grooming two young girls on the internet. The flavoured spring water firm said that as "a company with strong family values" it was left with no choice but to withdraw its support. The sponsorship deal is worth more than £5,000 to the Edinburgh club. A spokesman for Hearts said the club had no comment to make on the withdrawal of the sponsorship agreement. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-13927452

drdooom Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Well you have to admit it's more OK than pedophilia.
floyd Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Well you have to admit it's more OK than pedophilia.Try telling that to a caller on Nicky Campbell yesterday, who was trying to defend him because he's only 20, and their wasn't that greater age difference.
