The way their league works it should be almost impossible for a club of River Plate's stature to get relegated, yet here they are...

 

I guess Erik Lamela will be leaving this summer if they don't over turn this result.

I've always wanted to go to a River Plate vs. Boca Juniors derby. Football is bonkers over there.

 

Quite how they've let themselves get into this position god only knows. Great kit though.

Surely a bit unfair with Martin Palermo doing ref? Have they structured the league like the WWF with special guest refs and players administering low blows and rakes of the eyes while the ref isnt looking?

Watched the game against Belgrano. River were gash. Lamela looks a player, but he's basically expected to carry everyone at 19 years old. They played him wide left in the first half and I don't think they managed to get near Belgrano's box until they moved him inside in the second half. They're in big s*** now though.

 

Also, watching a match that gets delayed by 20mins while smashed at 3am is quite difficult. There was 24mins of injury time in the second half because of those sodding fans invading the pitch, must be a record.

better to watch Boca vs River, the Bombonera is a much livelier stadium than the one where River play

dont like river. they're the manchester united of argentinian football so i hope they go down.

 

boca are the club to support.
