at a team that's good, when can you leave with the fans' blessing? You can't leave mid contract cos people get upset that you're not honouring it and you can't honour your contract cos you're "screwing" the club. Can you only leave with people not caring if the club don't want you anymore at which point you have to get yourself out as quickly as possible.

I was going to say with a year's notice for fans to get used to it, for top value after a strong final season. And in due time for a replacement to be found.

Be interesting to see how Arsenal fans will react when Fabregas fulfils his destiny as the prodigal son. Really, they can have no complaints no matter how little money he leaves for.
