Red Kent Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Kind of thinking now that maybe we should have got him as part of the Torres deal, I reckon he's going to be a really top forward.
Hassony Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 he is on something silly at Chelsea like 70k a week or something isn't he? has looked good at Bolton, but looked no better than Ngog when he was at Chelsea
MarkD Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Mate knows his family very well. He was on 35k a week in the reserves at City, he wanted double - hence the move - and did get it at Cheslea. Mad money for what he had actually done and has been affected by it in that many close to him feel he no longer either enjoys playing (but enjoys the lifestyle) nor is he willing to try and develop his game. He have many clubs - will be a prem player for a few years but not likely to make the grade at the highest level.
Elephant Stone Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 He's a talented kid who has had his progress stunted at Chelsea somewhat. Always looked a special player in the making in the City reserve side. He needs to be playing some part week in week out. He hasn't really had a fair craic at Chelsea yet but may do if Drogba is off. Think he'd do well at Liverpool for what it's worth. Mate knows his family very well. He was on 35k a week in the reserves at City, he wanted double - hence the move - and did get it at Cheslea. Cheeky little f*****. No sympathy for him now.
_00_deathscar Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 has looked good at Bolton, but looked no better than Ngog when he was at Chelsea Ngog was never at Chelsea.

Elephant Stone Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I really am starting to hate footballers. It's a wierd and uneasy feeling.

Murphman Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I suggested this at the time and got roundly booed. 'We don't want Chelsea's 'cast offs' they said.'Another Nunez' they said. Huh!
sutty Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 He'd be disappointed rocking up at my gaff to shove his todger in my right hand ha ha What a mental picture.

Not claiming to be a guru or anything, but watching him these last two games, I genuinely got the sense of this, joyless and isolated from the game, leaning on a bit of ability that keeps people thinking there is more to come 'when the penny drops'. Why would it though? On what he already makes, for what he puts in and the clubs he gets to sign for, why would he feel he needs to produce much more?
muleskinner Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 There was an interview before England game the other night, seemed fine, wants to do well. Owen Coyle had nothing but praise for his attitude, performances and wants him next season too.
Rimbeux Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I wouldn't expect either of them to say any different, it was just something that stirred in me watching him play.
Maldini Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 I think he's one of those guys (like Darren Bent) who's good for smaller clubs but doesn't have the tactical nous to play at a bigger club. Even in this tournament when he was playing up front he just drifted all over the place and didn't act as the focal point the team was crying out for. Great technique though if he gets the right manager he could do damage.
