There should be some serious pointing and laughing at those who said Jovanovic, Cole and Konchesky would be an improvement on Riera, Benayoun and Insua. Don't think anyone thought Poulsen would be any better than anybody, which just shows how unbelievably awful he is.

 

Article would have been better if it was just based on English based players. I'm sure there are many more players in Europe who are similarly unwanted and rubbish, so seemed a bit random to have it 90% English based players...

 

Bit harsh to have Bebe on there. He wasn't bought for his football skills - he was bought so that various people's pockets could be lined in one of the most dodgy deals ever seen.

Konchesky is one of the most laughable signings made in the last decade. The entire footballing world knew he was a bluffer who was never good enough to play for Liverpool.

Meh, i'm ok with that shout. I hadn't seen him play for a while (It wasn't my job to scout him) and I had no faith in Jay whatsoever at that point

I thought he would come in as cover and do ok. He didn't. But my post was before the season had started
