Red Kent Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 Top top free-kick from Spain 1-0. It's like boys v better boys
goodrobotusses Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 First 15 minutes Spain had something like 67% possession. It's U19, by the way.
Red Kent Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 Wish I could understand why they keep on saying Liverpool First 15 minutes Spain had something like 67% possession. It's U19, by the way. I just followed the link posted on twitter, it said U17's - never registered to be honest.
goodrobotusses Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 (edited) Think they're just mentioning which clubs the lads belong to. At this level only the nerdiest football fans are going to know who's from where, so I guess the commentators compensate. That Isco lad (who scored the FK) is highly regarded - plays for Valencia. This will be a good experience for the English lads, coming up against highly technical players who can keep the ball for fun. Part of the reason this youth-level CL will be really good for our lads - different experiences, different kinds of football. Just as I type that England score and Wisdom gets into a bit of set-to with some Spanish lads. EDIT: Wasn't Wisdom, was the England no.5... though Wisdom was booked, so maybe it was. No replays. Red Kent Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 Bit of a controversial equaliser there - who got it ? I know Ngoo crossed the ball.
alias75 Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Wish I could understand why they keep on saying Liverpool I just followed the link posted on twitter, it said U17's - never registered to be honest. was that Wisdom that just flattened the Spanish CB??
schmuckdonald Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 N'Goo looks like he's been stretched, he plays football like a cartoon.
Red Kent Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 Harry Kane of Spurs got the goal. 5 games - 4 goals
Red Kent Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 (edited) Ngoo cautioned for absolutely nothing. Edited June 5, 2011 by Kev
Red Kent Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 Ngoo now off, probably a good idea as he was nearing a second yellow under this ref.
Red Kent Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 For all the Spanish tacky ticky tacker thingy, it's still 1-1.
Red Kent Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 Coady having a go at yet another dive by a Spanish player. They go down very very easily as if they've been taught. FT 1-1 England really made to play in this, a very good result.
magneto Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 6 of our players are in England U17s and 1 in the Ozzie squad for this month's Under 17s World Cup. Was wondering why Suso (if he's that good) wasn't playing for Espana today.
