John R Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Just watching him on lfc tv. When did he play, I can't remember him at all. Bit-part player in the 1970s....think he left for Middlesborough in the mid 70s ? Made less than 100 appearances I think.

smithdown Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Scored a hat trick away at Leeds didn't he, back when they were massive?
charlie clown Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 I always think of him and Brian Hall as being similar players from the same time. How accurate that is I'm not sure, but in my 7 year old head, that's the way I remember em both.
JRC Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Once scored a goal like Fairclough's against Everton - half the length of the pitch and dribbled past about 5 defenders, so clearly had something about him, but generally managed to keep it well hidden. Something went on between him and Thommo in Souness's time as well, didn't it?
kingkenny77 Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Had his best run when standing in for keegan following his FA Ban. Average player and worse coach alongside Souness.
