dorgie Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 (edited) Definitely hate him more than Torres. These quotes are so pathetic he should be embarassed. Jumped up prick. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/23052011/63/owen-cherishes-maiden-league-crown.html Owen cherishes maiden league crownMon, 23 May 15:12:10 2011 ShareretweetEmailPrintMichael Owen has admitted lifting the Premier League title with Manchester United represents the pinnacle of his career. Although the 31-year-old collected four major cup winners' medals during his eight seasons with Liverpool, then added a Carling Cup to his collection last term at United, Sunday was the first time he had been crowned as a league champion. Owen is the first to admit his contribution; one start, 10 substitute appearances and two goals, was not really pivotal. However, he has accepted his role as a squad man with relish and will cherish the medal he collected after the 4-2 win over Blackpool beyond any other. "They say if you can't beat them, join them," he laughed. "It has been fantastic. I won a lot of trophies with Liverpool but to win the Premier League is the pinnacle of anyone's career." Candystore Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 (edited) I feel sorry for him. His career was over the moment he left Real and joined Newcastle just to make sure he got in the England Squad. One start in the Prem and he gets a winner medal, must be well proud. Don't think he'll be in the CL squad on Sat. Bet United get rid of him at the end of the season. Kahnee Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 He's out of contract. And what do they mean "added" a Carling Cup medal? He won two with us
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 wonder how many players have played fewer minutes & won a medal. What was it - 2 goals? Someone posted a link on twitter - It was an article with an interview with him after the 01 LCF when he was on the bench, and he was saying how he felt like giving the medal away as he hadn't done anything to deserve it. Now look at him.... What a c***. I hope they lose 15-0 in the ECF & he gets sent off
dorgie Posted May 23, 2011 Author Posted May 23, 2011 What a c***. I hope they lose 15-0 in the ECF & he gets sent off He won't get near the team for that.
Kahnee Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 He won't get near the team for that. Not if Bebe's fit...
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 He's out of contract. And what do they mean "added" a Carling Cup medal? He won two with us if I say I've added a red tie to my tie collection, does that imply that I didn't previously own any red ties?
Kahnee Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 if I say I've added a red tie to my tie collection, does that imply that I didn't previously own any red ties? It could do, yes. If you said you'd added another red tie, it would clear the mattter up
Cobs Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 He should have been an English footballing legend at both club and International level by now, entering the final few years of his footballing life as a modern day Lineker/Charlton (minus the affairs/ticket touting stories), respected the World over remarkable the way he's fecked his own career over the last 7 years

It's unbelievable to think that he didn't even come close litlte c***
Murphman Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 if I say I've added a red tie to my tie collection, does that imply that I didn't previously own any red ties? he's so f*cking thick it's embarrassing!
Des Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 he's so f*cking thick it's embarrassing! He's lived in this bubble and been told he's the wasp's nuts since he was only a kid though. It's really not surprising what little perspective he has and how he completely fails to realise what a bellend he comes over as.

I don't believe he does 'stand up' at all, stands in front of his mirror talking into a brush, the f*cking saddo. Oh, are you talking about Owen?

It's unbelievable to think that he didn't even come close litlte c*** he's 31 yrs old, only 9 goals short and hasn't kicked a ball for England in 3 years no wonder he's clinging on to his premier league winners medal as the pinnacle of his career he's climbed Snowdon 'cos he lost his way to Everest the sad fact of his career is that he hit the pinnacle in 2001

Swipe Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Little prick. "If you can't beat them, join them." Dear me.

Well, at club level, he helped in the 5-1 vs Germany
Cobs Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Little prick. "If you can't beat them, join them." Dear me. If you can't beat them, join them. Sit on the bench, play as a sub for 10 minutes 1 game in every 4, do feck all of note to contribute toward any success they achieve and then bask in the glory of it all at the end like the all-time knuckleshuffler of VVanksville, Co.Onanist.
Swipe Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 You'd think he'd be smart enough not to gloat like that. He has no self-awareness whatsoever.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 just breezed through the Mancs' game stats: Owen - 2 goals, started 1 game, sub 10 times, Total mins on the pitch - 228!!!! 2 1/2 games...his one start, he was subbed at HT and he barely featured in Jan, Feb, Mar (all league only)
Cobs Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 aye - he scored them an equaliser @ Bolton - gained them 1 point and then a goal v Blackpool with the game won in a dead rubber to ManU pinnacle of your career, eh Michael? Imogen Thomas has had more ball-time @ Man U this season
RP Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Yeah, what a failure. As he picks up the medal that Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher would kill for! No need to like him, but he's just picked up a League winners' medal and has been paid massive amounts of money for the last 13 or so years - and will no doubt continue to be so. I have no feelings about him whatsoever - he's just a player who used to be great for us.
